Emerald Valley

For several years I, along with several other people, encouraged Dave to expand his website with a short story. Emerald Valley is the result, and to put it in Dave's own words, "it got out of hand". I thought a 2 or 3 chapter short story would be great, but Dave eventually handed me a 21 chapter adventure.

While most of the characters in Emerald Valley are not in the Golden Feather books, this story can give you a good idea of how Dave writes. If you find Emerald Valley engrossing, exciting, or just good reading, consider purchasing a set of the books. Or purchase a second set and give them to a good friend. I don't believe you, or your friend, will be disappointed.

Drifter Kyle Chase teams up with Dix Logan in trying to protect Logan's inherited Emerald Valley ranch from the greedy and ruthless Mason Coby who wants to divert the river from Logan's ranch to his own.

As foreman, Chase uncovers strange smear-outs in Logan's books, tracks into a dry river bed and other things that don't add up to the goings on.

Who really killed Logan's uncle? How could Mason Coby reroute the river? What had Logan's late uncle been selling for so much profit?
